Iwas looking for some speakers for my new house/tv and came across the sound bar concept. I like this because i have had surround sound in the past and couldn't deal with all the wires/clutter. I hooked this up yesterday and love it. agree with others that this is optimized for the sony product line but it still works just fine with non-sony setup. I ran everything through new (inexpensive) high speed HDMI cables. fios box, roku etc. pandora through the roku box sounds amazing. one thing i wanted to point out is that it was critical for me to be able to run music from my computer/ipod etc through this system and doing this through the digital media port seemed to be an additional expense that was not ideal. it turns out you can get a red/white to headphone jack adapter from radio shack for under $10 that works perfectly.
